    CDC Check Your Drinking Alcohol Screening Tool 


    Drinking too much alcohol can be harmful. Everyone can benefit from drinking less alcohol or not drinking at all. This tool checks your drinking and can give advice. If you want to drink less, it can also help you build a plan to make healthier choices.

    The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA)

    Harm Reduction Sisters

    Lice Lounge uses an all-natural, pesticide-free, safe & successful method of lice removal. They are mothers and lice removal experts &  understand the stress of lice removal.


    Lake Superior Life Care Center


    The Lake Superior Life-Care Center, Inc. is a local non-profit organization offering help to men and women facing unplanned pregnancies. Lake Superior Life Care Center is here to offer hope and help to parents and families with services which are free and confidential. 


    MnChoices  Assesment through Northern SLC


    A person of any age with a disability or in need of long-term services and supports may request a MnCHOICES assessment and support-planning process to help make decisions about their needs.


    MnCHOICES incorporates MnCHOICES assessments, managed care health risk assessments, the support plans associated with both assessments and LTSS evaluation into one web-based application. The person’s MnCHOICES assessment responses determine eligibility for a number of public programs, including home and community-based waivers and personal care assistance.

    Safe Haven Shelter & Resource Center  


    Safe Haven Shelter and Resource Center in Duluth, Minnesota provides services to women, children, and all survivors whose lives have been affected by physical, emotional, sexual, and economic abuse. 


    Dabinoo ‘Igan Domestic Violence Shelter & Legal Advocacy Resources


     Dabinoo’Igan is a 10-bed emergency shelter for victims of physical and sexual violence, trafficking, and stalking who need immediate shelter.  Women and children can stay up to 30 days and receive a variety of services including advocacy, information and referral, housing search assistance, financial assistance, limited follow-up, limited on-site legal services and culturally specific programming.


    Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault (PAVSA)  


    Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault (PAVSA) is a nonprofit rape crisis center in southern St. Louis County that helps area residents cope with the aftermath of sexual violence.


    First Witness Advocacy Center 


    First Witness Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a child-focused non-profit agency offering hope, healing, and justice for alleged victims of child abuse and their families.

    HRA Section 8 Rental Assistance 


    Section 8 Rental Housing Assistance is a program that makes market rate rental housing affordable for low income families. Program participants pay a minimum of 30% of their monthly adjusted income for rent and utilities. And getting help is easier than you might think. We provide rental assistance in the city of Duluth or Southern St. Louis, Lake, and Cook counties.

    Kids Closet 


    Kids Closet accepts referrals from school personnel. Call your child's school and ask the secretary to tell you who the person is in that school that refers to Kids Closet. Contact that person (phone call is fine) with your information, including all of your children in grades from Head Start to fifth grade, even if they are in more than one school.

    Damiano Center's mission is: with respect and compassion, honoring the dignity of all people and strengthen our community by providing essential services to individuals and families who are in need. Their goal is to be responsive to the needs of people who are low-income, unemployed, and working poor in our community as simply and directly as possible.


    Womens Care’s Center 


    Women's Care Center provides free, confidential counseling, support and education for pregnant women. Free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds help determine viability and dates (prenatal medical care and abortions not provided).


    Teen Closet 


    The Teen Closet in Duluth offers free new and gently used clothing for youth ages 13-21.

    Youth can enjoy the independence of a real shopping experience in a safe, friendly store. New and gently used clothing items are available at no cost, with no obligations and no questions asked.


    Teen Health Center  


    The Center for Changing Lives Duluth provides free screenings and resources to teens and young adults ages 13-24. Health professionals that we partner with provide quality care in a nurturing, non-rushed, and confidential environment.
