Since 1961, we have been researching, growing, and changing to ensure we are continually meeting the needs of our clients and our community with effective, quality programs and services.
There are 40 beds within our Detox & Withdrawal Management units. These units are designated to help individuals struggling with intoxication or withdrawal. The teams on this unit can assist with referrals to other programs within the Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment and external sources. We have clinical and non-clinical staff their to assist individuals with their needs and meet them where they are in treatment.
The Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment’s Detoxification Unit is committed to treating each client as an individual, to confront the illness rather than the individual, and to offer hope and opportunity to anyone with the desire for recovery. It is the policy of the Detoxification Unit to provide medically safe detoxification from alcohol and other drugs to any Minnesota resident found in need.

The Withdrawal Management Program (formerly known as the Pathfinder Unit), is a licensed program that provides short-term care on a 24-hour-a-day basis for the purpose of providing clients safe withdrawal from alcohol, opiates and other drugs and facilitating access to Substance Use Disorder Treatment as indicated by an assessment of needs. The Withdrawal Management Program’s medical providers possess a Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 Waiver from SAMHSA for Substance Abuse Treatment. The medical providers work on-site and are available on call 24-hours a day.
