Office Based Opioid Treatment Plus (OBOT+)

The Center for Alcohol & Drug Treatment Outpatient Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) Treatment Program offers help for opioid use disorder plus so much more. Services provided at the Addiction Medicine Clinic, 1402 E Superior St. Duluth, MN. Some of these other services include:

  • Walk-in inductions Mon-Fri from 8am-3pm or by appointment
  • Medical cannabis certification
  • Nicotine replacement prescriptions
  • Comfort medications
  • Vivitrol/oral naltrexone for alcohol use disorder & opioid use disorder
  • Telehealth available by appointment


Key Features of OBOT+ are:

  • Same-Day Suboxone Initiation: Clients undergoing OBOT services often have the opportunity to start their Suboxone treatment on the same day as their intake. We understand the urgency of addressing opioid use disorder and aim to provide prompt and effective solutions.
  • Pregnant Women: Our OBOT program welcomes pregnant women, recognizing the unique challenges they face. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to support both maternal and fetal well-being.
  • Insurance Billing: OBOT services are billed to the client's insurance, making the program accessible to a broader range of individuals. We strive to minimize financial barriers, ensuring that quality care is available to those who need it.
  • Pharmacy Prescriptions: Prescriptions are conveniently called into a pharmacy, streamlining the process and ensuring that clients have easy access to the medications they need for their recovery journey. We also offer oral Naltrexone for AUD
  • Individualized Monitoring: Clients in the early stages of recovery receive more frequent monitoring to ensure their well-being and adjust treatment plans as needed. As clients progress and stabilize, longer prescriptions are provided to support their ongoing recovery.
  • Holistic Evaluation: Our board certified medical providers conduct a holistic needs assessment for all patients that includes but is not limited to; medical history, social and economic factors, mental health and lifestyle. Our medical providers may, in some instances, be able to bridge current or recent medications until patient is able to acquire care with their primary provider. Our providers will also assist with referrals for additional services if needed i.e. ARMHS, Case management, Primary Care, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.
