Since 1961, we have been researching, growing, and changing to ensure we are continually meeting the needs of our clients and our community with effective, quality programs and services.
Co-occurring Disorders
Research shows us that it is common for people to have a mental illness and a substance use disorder (co-occurring disorder). Integrating both screening and treatment for mental and substance use disorders leads to a better quality of care. Here at the Center, we have providers who screen, diagnose and deliver integrated care to patients with co-occurring disorders.
Our Mental Health Professionals use a number of approaches to provide person-centered treatment, such as:
Our Mental Health Groups are geared towards adolescents and teens aged 12 years or older. During the school year groups are scheduled in the afternoon and individual therapy is scheduled with the Mental Health Professional.
A proven therapy modality where clients learn and practice recovery strategies, build interpersonal skills, and reinforce and develop social support networks. This group meets twice weekly, these group sessions allow teens to build healthy relationships, support one another, and discuss the healing process. Structured and engaging way to foster openness, encourage healthy communication, and build a strong sense of community within the group.
Group topics can include:
Body Image/Eating Disorders
Social media, device use
Trauma
Intergeneration trauma
Trauma repair
Attachment injuries
Meditation/mindfulness
Inventory and Reflection
Rules and expectations
Research shows that integrated treatment leads to better outcomes for those struggling with mental and substance use disorders. Here at CADT, we offer individual psychotherapy sessions with a Mental Health Professional.
Research indicates that family involvement in the treatment of mental and substance use disorders is generally a key factor in obtaining successful outcomes. CADT offers Family Therapy sessions as an add on to individual sessions on an as needed basis. Family sessions focus on effective communication as well as the improvement of relationships among family members.
Individual adult sessions with a Mental Health Professional are available at CADT.
