Outpatient Program opens in Two Harbors

DULUTH, MINN. —August 1, 2013. The Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment (CADT), headquartered in Duluth, opened an outpatient substance abuse treatment program at Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors, this past Tuesday, August 6, 2013.

“We are proud to be able to bring hope and help to people in Two Harbors and the surrounding area who are struggling with the disease of addiction,” said Tina Silverness, CADT’s chief operating officer. “Our outpatient treatment program will offer people who are seeking treatment, but unable to put their life on hold, the support and care they need.”

The CADT program includes substance abuse assessments and outpatient group therapy sessions. A counselor will be on sight Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 am to 9 pm to take appointments for substance abuse assessments. Group therapy sessions will be available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 pm.

An open house for Lake County social services and other area agencies will be held at Lake View Hospital on Thursday, August 8 at 10 am.

In addition to its Two Harbors outpatient program, CADT offers residential inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, detoxification services, a DWI program, as well as medically assisted recovery and long-term residential programs and aftercare in Duluth.


The Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment is a nonprofit community agency founded in 1961 that provides treatment and recovery services for people with chemical use addictions and the problems associated with drug and alcohol abuse and gambling problems. Its programs include residential inpatient treatment; outpatient treatment; a detoxification facility; DWI programs and medically assisted recovery; and long-term residential programs and aftercare.
